Victorian, Edwardian, and Federation homes were built with materials you simply can't buy anymore. Lime mortars, clinker brickwork, original hardwood flooring, decorative plasterwork, period joinery. All of it needs someone who actually knows how to work with it. Not someone who'll substitute modern materials and hope for the best. The wrong call here doesn't just look wrong. It can fail your heritage overlay requirements, cause structural issues, and create damage that can't properly be undone.
Nicon Built has been working on Melbourne's period homes for 30 years. We read the heritage overlay documentation before anyone touches a tool.
